Hill Inn (Chapel le Dale)-Braithwaite Wife Hole-Humphrey Bottom-Ingleborough-Simon Fell-Park Fell-Colt Park-Hill Inn.
A very fine approach to Ingleborough which dominates every step. The stone paving done at Humphrey Bottom has blended in well, but the steps above are potentially dangerous if descending this way. It was cold and windy on the summit so we continued along to Simon Fell for lunch. The cloud formations were quite amazing some like spinning tops or zeppelin shaped. A grand view from Park Fell over Ribblehead where many cars ere by the roadside. A notable curved bield was passed on the field path from Colt Park.
